The Inktobot is Inktober Evolved…
What is Inktober?
Created by artist Jake Parker in 2009, Inktober is a month-long experience where participants draw, and ink pictures based on specific prompt words every day for the month of October. Inktober acts as a medium for artists to explore, create and share their work. Although it may seem like quite a simple task, Inktober poses a challenge for artists to create art for 31 consecutive days, as well as challenging their own unique perception of the provided prompt words.
What is Inktobot?
Using creative intelligence workflows, Inktobot aims to expand upon the core theme of Inktober to encourage and explore the creative process.
The Inktobot will utilize machine learning to collect datasets from image searches develop its own unique image generation style. As years go by larger dataset of images will become available as more artists share their work and participate in Inktober. The Inktobot will use the information gathered to generate a new form of prompts for artists to use as inspiration, rather than using the standard Inktober prompt list, artists will be able to decipher their own inspiration from a daily image prompt generated by the Inktobot and informed by the daily prompt word.
This new medium will further challenge an artist’s unique point of view, encouraging them to explore, create and share their work.
